Describing Music
The better you describe what you want, the better results you'll get. Here's how to communicate effectively with the AI.
The Basics
A good prompt includes at least:
- Instrument - What instrument should play it?
- Style/Mood - What should it sound like?
Example: "A peaceful piano piece"
Adding More Detail
For more specific results, include:
| Element | Examples |
|---|---|
| Key | "in C major", "in the key of G minor" |
| Tempo | "slow", "upbeat", "120 BPM" |
| Length | "8 bars", "short intro", "32 measures" |
| Time signature | "in 3/4 time", "waltz feel" |
| Mood | "melancholic", "triumphant", "playful" |

Instead, describe the feel you want:
- ✅ "A romantic piano piece like you'd hear in a period drama"
- ✅ "An energetic pop melody with a memorable hook"
Using Difficulty Levels
Select a difficulty before generating:
- Beginner - Simple rhythms, limited range, mostly white keys
- Intermediate - Eighth notes, syncopation, some accidentals
- Advanced - Complex rhythms, full range, chromaticism

"Change it to minor key"
"Make the ending more dramatic"
The AI remembers the context and adjusts your piece accordingly.
